The pre-test interview

Before a single sensor is attached, the examiner reviews the context of the case, the examinee's condition (medication, sleep, anxiety) and every question that will be asked. It is the phase that guarantees a reliable baseline and prevents false positives — and it takes as long as the test itself.

The test and chart analysis

The final report

The report gathers the charts, the detailed scoring and conclusions stated as probability — not a plain «yes or no». It is the document that gives the test its real value, and preparing it is part of the price.

This phased structure also explains the total duration of the service: although the recording session takes a morning, between questionnaire preparation, the pre-test interview and the subsequent analysis the examiner spends several more hours on each case. The test can take place at our premises or we can travel to your home or company. Transporting and setting up the equipment elsewhere may influence the quote — it is always stated in advance, with no surprises.

There are also things that do not influence the price, and you should know them: the outcome of the test (the cost is the same whatever the result — a guarantee of impartiality), the exact length of a normal session, and the number of control questions. Distrust anyone charging «per question» or hinting at different rates depending on the expected result: both practices are incompatible with the profession's code of ethics.

Calibrated sensors and current technology

A modern professional polygraph has nothing to do with the old pen-and-paper machines: high-sensitivity digital sensors, plethysmograph and movement detectors that capture micro-variations invisible to the naked eye. That equipment is calibrated before every test — a process that consumes professional time and is part of the cost.

Up-to-date scoring software

Modern analysis combines expert inspection with statistical scoring algorithms whose licences are renewed and updated. A service running obsolete or unlicensed software saves costs at the expense of reliability — exactly the opposite of what a test is for.

Keeping the equipment up to date is not a luxury: manufacturers publish calibrations and updates that correct sensor drift over time. An unmaintained device produces noisy recordings, and noise is paid for in reliability. Part of the fee covers precisely that ongoing maintenance — the difference between measuring and believing you measure.

In the private sphere — infidelity, family disputes, doubts poisoning a relationship — the test is usually individual and highly personalised: the questions are drafted to fit the intimate context of the case.
